Early Years Foundation Stage

(EYFS)

The EYFS are the standards that schools and childcare providers must meet for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5. This is sometimes referred to as the EYFS. We will keep you updated on your child’s progress through observations made by their key person on the Famly app. These observations are made based on the EYFS.

The Early Years Foundation Stage is broken into seven stages:

  1. Communication and Language

  2. Personal, Social and Emotional

  3. Physical Development

  4. Understanding The World

  5. Mathematics

  6. Literacy

  7. Expressive Arts and Design
